Many of the Dental Restorations like Metal inlays, copings, crowns, endodontic posts and partial dentures produced predominantly by a metal casting process for many years, But the use of metals has decreased in recent years due to the increased consumers demand for esthetics over durability; hence knowledge of structure and properties of cast metals and alloys is Essential to properly handle these materials in a clinical practice and to diagnose the failure of cast restorations.
