It is with great pleasure and a sense of accomplishment that I present this dissertation, titled Exploring Mental Mathematics Using Maths Tricks to Improve the Teaching of Mathematics: Experimental study research approach.” This work represents the culmination of several years of research, reflection, and collaboration within the Department of Special Education, Alagappa university, karaikudi, Tamil Nadu.
Motivation and Purpose
The impetus for this dissertation emerged from a profound interest in understanding Mental Mathematics Using Maths Tricks to Improve the Teaching of Mathematics. As the Special Education Field continues to evolve, there is a growing need to develop into Mathematics Tricks for teaching student with visual impairment to contribute new insights and perspectives. This research seeks to address do the Mental Mathematical Concept on curriculum adaptations for children with visual impairment benefit in the learning process of prospective teachers with visual impairment? With the over arching goal of this research purpose to that mathematics is an abstract concept and more over all are visually oriented content. Even though the children experience all concepts is abstract it will be difficult for them to understand the complexity of the process involved in it. Hence the oral instruction is not effective in enhancing comprehension of these basic aspects, which is very much vital. The prospective teachers of Students with visual impairment can learn only through tactile and oral mode so the investigator made mathematical based tricks to improve their mathematical knowledge to teach the student with special needs especially the students with visual impairment.
