IMPACT OF ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION PROGRAMME ON RESPONSIBLE ENVIRONMENTAL BEHAVIOUR AND WELL BEING OF ADOLESCENTS

Effective application of environmental education programme at the school level will help the local as well as state authorities also. It will create environmental awareness, sensitivity and responsibility among adolescents and in turn adolescents will work very effectively for conservation and protection of environment by spreading the experience of Environmental education programme with the people surrounding them. It also helps in making better understanding towards solving problems related to environment. Enriching knowledge of ecological concepts with the help of environmental education programme also helps in improving their well being. So, this humble effort has been made by the investigator to study the impact of environmental education programme (EEP) on responsible environmental behavior (REB) and well being (WB) of adolescents. Environmental Education Programme supported by activities, PPT’s, survey sheets, checklists, observations, small films based on environmental activities and follow up was performed by the adolescents at school, home and Society. Environmental Education Programme was developed for the experimental group which was based on conservation, protection and participation in immediate natural environment available at home, school and society.
