This book ‘A Compendium of English Grammar –II’ (A book of Learning
Fundamental Grammar of English Language) is intended for students in
schools and colleges who are learning English as Second or Third Language.
The aim is not only to equip the students with the fundamentals of English
Grammar but also to guide them in use of modern English in a comprehensive
manner. The classes aimed at are from 6th standard to 12th and degree standard
also though students in colleges would find it equally useful.
The entire instructional in This Book has been organized in Units or Chapters.
Each Unit / Chapter takes up a particular item of grammar usage and deals with
it in a simple, direct and a clear manner. The emphasis throughout is on applied
and functional aspect of grammar. As such examples, showing usages, are
copious and cover all major variations in use. In preparing the material the
needs and difficulties of the non-native learners of English have been kept in
view.
