It is with great honour and pride that we present before you this book of biochemistry. The major goal is to provide students of medicine and health sciences with contemporary developments in fundamental biochemistry which will aid in a better understanding of the clinical aspect of diseases.
Methodologies have substantially improved over the past ten years, and novel tactics and protocols that were formerly only used by a select few pioneering labs are now routinely used together with ever-more flexible boundaries within key disciplines, giving rise to what is now known as the life sciences.
Clinical biochemistry is an interpretative and analytical field of study. The interpretive phase entails a review of the findings and their application to disease diagnosis, disease susceptibility testing, and therapy monitoring. Analytical work entails estimating the concentration of chemical elements in bodily fluids.
This book will help the learner better comprehend the many breakthroughs in biochemistry and their therapeutic applications. We appreciate the invaluable assistance and recommendations provided by the entire faculty and staff of the department of biochemistry in the creation of this book.
We welcome constructive feedback from all students who use this book in their studies, as well as teachers and academics who use it to supplement their courses.
