Meet The Author

This book is designed for those readers who wish to start learning to program in an object-oriented programming language and Design. In fact, a lot of the information is drawn from lectures the author has given to students from a variety of programming and non-programming backgrounds. The language we use to teach object-oriented programming is C++.

Our approach in this book is to regard C++ as a language that readers will want to use as a primary tool in many different areas of their programming work. For this reason, in the early chapters we described UML diagrams for design of application.

To this end, many of our early examples and exercises are enhanced by the provision of visual material that makes them more interesting to experiment with various application. An object-oriented language makes this approach relatively easy, without the reader needing to become enmeshed in the details of how they are implemented.

THE CONTENT OF THE BOOK IS ORGANIZED INTO FIVE UNITS

Unit 1:It describes an introduction to basic object-oriented concepts, such as classes and objects Class and Usecase Diagram. It also explains about the fundamental elements of the C++ language.

Unit2:It elaborates the constructor, Polymorphism,Operator overloading and Inheritance. It provides a platform to know about various types of Method Overloading and describes the Framework for profgramming. It also describes UML Interaction Diagrams, Sequence Diagram, Collaboration Diagram

Unit3:It details about the Inheritance, Virtual Function, Abstract class, InterfacesUML State Chart Diagram and Activity Diagram.

Unit 4:It focuses on templates, Exception handling and Dynamic Modeling to build the generic classes and generic functions.

Unit 5:It focuses on STL Sequence and Associative Container, Algorithm and File Handling.
