Information Literacy has become a crucial issue today for life-long learning. It involves active involvement of faculty, students and library staff. With the advance information and technology, the traditional concept of Information literacy is to be turned into a new age IT based modules. For more result oriented successful implementation, it requires more updated technical hands as well as soft skills to the user as well as administrator.

I was attended the State level conference on ‘Information Literacy in a college library’ on 2006 at Yavatmal. From that time the importance of this topic was click in my mind that library users need more than we provide. I discuss with my professional colleague & start to study more and more on this topic. As a result of all efforts this work has been completed today. This book offers a comprehensive Introduction to the Information Literacy, Its Facets and modules. Emphasising the importance of the Information Literacy, the book shows the various activities needs to implement at undergraduate level. The book introduces variety of observation modes and covers the pros and cons of Information Literacy. The use of literacy model is an example of excellence and aids very much in conveying difficult concepts and ideas of literacy.

A number of books, articles have been referred to while producing this book. These are cited in the book to acknowledge their value. However, I would like to specially acknowledge the usefulness of source made available by Department of LISc and University library, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. As usual, I would like to keep on record the support of my well wishers, motivators, supporters, professional friends & family members.
