The main concern of the book entitled Dr. APJ Abdul
Kalam: A Doctrinal Visionary is about the vision of Kalam.
This book is divided into five chapters. The first chapter deals
with the vision of India in the nineteenth century; the vision of
freedom. It highlights Kalam’s voyage from a small village to
a Palacious Rastarapati Bhawan, Delhi and also reflects the
vision of India’s forefathers. It also reflects Kalam’s
motivational character as a writer through Wings of Fire and
Ignited Minds.
The second chapter deals with the Educational and Social
vision in which Kalam depicts that education and society are
interdependent and the role of education is to nurture children
in a social context. It is also the doctrine of self-actualization
or self-realization.
In the third chapter, the spiritual and political views of
Kalam are discussed in detail i.e.; Kalam believes in spiritual
politics and not in political politics. It may also be called as
the doctrine of leadership and wisdom.
The fourth chapter entitled ‘National and Supranational
Vision’ is all about the political and spiritual relations of
states and other countries to develop peace and harmony with
each other. It can be termed as the doctrine of A Better Indian:
A Better World.
At the end, the concluding chapter summarizes all the
chapters and provides a gist of what the all chapters contain.
There are also opinions and suggestion that are worth to go
though.
