Meet The Author

Having no hesitation to concede that  neither I am historian or an archeologist, but being a common Citizen of India having very much impressed with the holy land which bestowed as the enlightment, through various torch bearers of the society and religion to upkeep the mankind with enclosed gospel of saints, suffies and great saints, which enticed me with enthusiastic energy to go ahead    with the research on the developing feature of Ladakh, more particularly on the biographical contributions of Nineteenth Kaushak Bakula, Labjung Thubtan Chognore, the architect of Ladakh, the great soul to preach the path of peace and honormany, the reformer of the society and best abled administrator of the State Government, blunt truth speaking personality against the tyrannical rule of Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, the savior of Mongolian society from the clutches of communism, a true patriotic personality demanding total merger of Jammu and Kashmir especially Ladakh with Indian Republic Union.

The Ladkah region a land of Lamas called “Little Tibet” or the “Moon Land” or the Crown of the Land or the “Last Shangrilla” all names applied to Ladakh. In the third century BC, the Great Mauryan Emperor Ashoka sent Buddhist missionaries to Ladakh via Kashmir and thereafter Tibet from Ladakh. Many Villages of Ladakh are crowned with a number Gonpas/ Sompas or monasteries which may be anything form an imposing complex of temples, prayer halls and Monk’s dwellings, to a tiny hermitaze housing a single image and home to a solitary lama.

The Ladakh region had the distinction to be the abode of Arhat Bakula, one of the sixteen Arhats of Shakyamuni, whose four last (Avtars) seventeen to twentieth (Avtars) by a name of this world are called as Kongchog Rangdrol Naima belonging to Ladakh’s Lamayuru vihar, Yaishai Stanbha Gaylchan, Lobjunz Thubtan Chhognore and presently identified since 2005 as Tenzing Nawanz Jigmait Wangchuk, have taken place in the said Ladakh region only.

The most brilliant (Avtar) of Arhat Bakula is his nineteenth round of life by taking (Avtar) on May 19th 1917 in a village called Mantho of Ladakh religion, as son of  member of Nadwa Thai (father) and Yeshe Bangmo (mother) i.e. the such family being descendant of Namzyal Royal Dynasty having been identified by the thirteenth Dalai Lama. The unique character of this rebirth was that Arhat Nineteenth Kushak Bakula not only strived hard for the revival of the shattered Buddhist culture, by the communism in Mongolia, Russia and boosted high morale for the self strength to the thwarting people of Tibet by the Tyrranization of the Chinese communism swelling in the neighbouring areas of Tibet and attempted alone the North East States of India. He had also the distinction of his rigour endeavour to awakening the most backward sects of Ladakh and inspiring them to rise above the anciently inherited theocratic concept of thinking with regard to the educational system and opt for the ingression of education side by side of advanced culture and techniques befitting the modern growing, society the object of uplifting the most backward society of Ladakh. Being  architect of Ladakh he fought for the welfare of his Ladakh people to make them self sufficient and independent to decide for their destiny in a peaceful and harmonious manner in all spheres i.e. political, social and economic without acceptance of survitution of the present ruling elite system since the year 1947, the firm policy was blatantly spoken in truth  under a memorial of the members of Praja Sabha from Ladakh, so submitted to the Maharaja of the State well before the transfer of power to Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah took place on March 5th 1948 and reiterated by another memorandum of  the Ladakh Buddhist Association submitted to the Prime Minister of India 1949. The people   of Ladakh in the united form under the matured stewardship of Kaushak Bakula successfully achieved the remarkable milestones of the targeted goal i.e. creation of independent Ladakh Affairs Departments single Line Administration for Ladakh region, introduction of Panchayati Raj System, schedule Tribe status, and also the Ladakh Hill Development councils both for Leh and Kargil Districts separately. The journey of targeted goal i.e. Union Territory for Ladakh is still under way and the advice of the Arhat Kaushak Bakula is still alive as touch bearer to accomplish the targeted goal as aforesaid also.

The  contributions of Arhat  Kaushak Bakula have left the deep foot prints not only for the Ladakhi’s and their descendants to follow but the people of the State as whole especially the Jammuties to introspect, the shortcomings by which they failed to take a lead of the burning issues engulfed the Jammu region with reasons of sorry State of affairs and rendering its leadership as a mere survitutes of Kashmir centric leadership despite the provisions of law of the land attracting for justice and better fructification in view of the population, topographic and other historical facts all standing firmly as their guard.

Inspired by the facts having been outlined by Dr. Kuldeep Chand Agnihotri in his edition relating to Arhat Kaushak Bakula, so published by the Jammu and Kashmir Study Centre New Delhi, I have made endeavour with vigorous possible endurance of study from the available possible means of the literature and sources of facts in the discourses with the youngsters of Ladakh studying in Jammu University  and all what has been derived therefrom with the act of my two arms, remained strenuously involved in, who happened to my sons Khajuria’s Anil and Sunil Advocates.

I have reduced the said accumulations in this gestation and put the same in public domain for adjudging with the touch stone of meritorious due weightage, with the hope that the massage of Arhat Kuaushak Bakula so conveyed during his nineteenth birth inning shall bear a torch bearer and will be further disseminated by all transformation means of their right earnest as service to the society.
