Ambedkarism and Dalit Autobiographies

I was born in a common farmer family. As a child, my elders often told
me I was bright in school, and I have many affectionate memories of my
childhood. However, as life progressed and I became aware of our financial
difficulties, my childhood innocence began to fade. Despite this, I developed a
habit of commenting on the social and educational problems of depressed
classes, and I continue to work on solving them still today. I firmly believe that
Education is the only weapon that can change anyone’s dignity and status.
My parents were illiterate, but they were deeply interested in education.
My mother always advised me to pursue higher education and strive for a level
of success where people would respect and honor me. I practically applied the
fundamental guidance of my mother and completed the highest education. My
father always encouraged and inspired me to live with self-respect and dignity. I
believe that whatever challenges are there in life, it can be solved only with
advanced higher education.
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar is my role model. I tried to act on his
philosophy in my practical life and gained various faculty degrees to overcome
the situation. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar achieved the highest education and
dedicated his entire life to uplift the downtrodden and making them aware of
their rights. Dr. Ambedkar urged us to seek higher education, attain influential
positions, and use that power to address societal and educational issues.
Inspired by his words, I have devoted myself to resolving the educational issues
faced by backward communities, striving to create a casteless society based on
equality, as envisioned in the Constitution of India.
Through my continuous counseling efforts, I feel proud to state that many
needy students from the Depressed Classes, which include Scheduled Castes
(SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Nomadic Tribes (NT), Vimukta Jatis (VJ), Special
Backward Classes (SBC), and Other Backward Classes (OBC), are now
pursuing higher studies at esteemed universities and institutions. Many have
also secured reputable positions as gazetted officers, managers in public sector
undertakings, professors, and other distinguished roles.
