My Anthology of Poems, “Tranquil Thirsts” is all about the blend of fragrance pertaining to Life, Love, Nature and Other Poems.

The most inspired words that ever have enthused poetic thoughts in rhyme and rhythm in my heart are the beautiful words of Robert Frost, “Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.”

My thoughts and words come into play in the course of the struggling life, I have traversed alone in the wee hours of my turmoil time I have faced all along in this beautiful but challenging world.

There is charm in life, facing alone and striving steadfastly that makes me confident, bold, courageous, and daring to fight and win.

My lovely wife, Rita is a patient of breast cancer. She got diagnosed and did her biopsy. The biopsy report came after few days with cancer positive. She was treated in NEMCARE Hospital in Guwahati, Assam under the supervision of Dr. J N Buragohain, an Oncologist & Surgery in the hospital. My wife’s right breast was operated on December 11, 2021. I had to be with the patient as an attendant all along in the hospital and had to stay awake till midnight and beyond. And thereafter shifted to my son’s apartment in Guwahati for months together for further post operation treatments: chemotherapy etc. in NEMCARE.

It was boredom and hectic time during our stay in Guwahati. Simply eating and caring for my ailing wife were the daily routines on my part. Many thoughts played into my mind: sometimes vivid thoughts and emotions loomed up in my head. My passion for writing had lingered more and more in every day. Then I picked up my pen and paper, thus my pen has been bleeding since then in every night. I had joined in some international and national literary groups and became active submitting my poems regularly to some of my favorite groups: The Passion of Poetry, International Poetry, and Poetry Planet etc. and to some literature groups casually. It was thrilling to get inspiring feedbacks and gradations from the admin and reviewers of the groups in which I was associated. During the two-year long treatment of my wife, my collection of poems has become hundreds and more than hundred accolades were received for my poetry during the last twenty four months. I got my poems self-edited and got 100 poems selected from my collection and the final product Tranquil Thirsts is in your hand. Let’s recall the golden words of a French poet Alphonse de Lamartine, “Sad is his lot, who once at least in his life, has not been a poet.” Bravo, the great poet!
