Meet The Author

The relevancy of private international law is growing swiftly now in the jurisprudence of any country compared to any other period and the mounting reason for its prominence is global migration. It is escalating fast in this decade compared to any past decades. The international migratory movement of people across borders has become 26 percent now in 2024, compared to 14 percent in 2019. The migration can be voluntary or involuntary and there are three kinds of migrants; namely, economic migrants, asylum seekers and refugees.  Economic migration is the movement of people from one country to another to for their greater economic opportunities in the receiving country. Economic migration is promoted by many countries now since they acquire professional and certified services which would enrich their economic growth.

The growing emigrational trends invoke the importance of Private International Law in the legal philosophy of every country. It entails many ‘conflict of law issues, such as marriage, divorce, protection of children, adoption, succession, legitimacy and legitimation, tort and contract etc. Here the role of private international law is to avoid conflict between different legal systems through better assimilation and understanding and to arrive at a ‘reasonable judgment’ at the time of conflict of laws. The application of law endorses foreign judgments and the same time broadens the domain of states legal arena.
