Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) training was introduced to almost all Safety Professionals and location in-charges for spreading knowledge amongst the working employees and associated staff. I, Dr Kaila being Director BeSafe India along with Team NITIE (now IIM Mumbai) and DGFASLI was associated for three months certification courses on BBS implementation in Industries where Dr Ramdas Jadhav had taken initiative to cover maximum possible number of IOCL officers to receive this training.

Some studies have shown a positive correlation between drivers’ risk ability and safety attitudes, and both factors have a significant impacted on the driving behaviour. Other studies have found that attitudes towards risky behaviour have a direct effect on the individuals risky behaviour, but risk awareness helps reducing such a risk.

Researches reveal that a safe driving attitude is required for controlling conscious mental reactions that are experienced as strong feelings and behaviour, by practicing defensive driving, and accepting accountability for driving judgement. iv Driver‟s skills and knowledge and licensing are extremely important to reducing road accidents in India.

The quality of driver education and licensing in India needs to be improved, with a focus on the significance of road safety, traffic driving rules, and defensive driving techniques.
