Dermatoglyhics being an easy method and its awareness of clinical significance is increasing with development of human cytogenetics. This study attempts to analyse, whether there exists any specific pattern in schizophrenia and major depressive Disorder patients. This may help the people to be careful before hand and design life accordingly. The aim of present research was to study the finger and Palmar Dermatoglyphic patterns in major depressive disorder and schizophrenia patients, and compare with that of dermatoglyphic patterns of normal persons.
This book is intended for medical students and other beginning students who are interested in study of dermatoglyphis in various human disorders. As a teacher, I have tried my best to make the book easy to understand and interesting to read.
