Meghalaya is a state in North East India. It was formed on 21st January 1972 by carving out two districts from the state of Assam, the United Khasi Hills, the Jaintia Hills and the Garo Hills. The tribal society of Meghalaya is undergoing a rapid change since its formation as a state. The

All these topics have been
discussed with relevant and updated data. The source materials of this book have been drawn from website, Government publications, different reports and books, magazines, journal, newspaper, including personal observations in the field.
