Rural development has been an intruding subject and go hand in hand with economics. The subject itself has gained popularity among civil service aspirants as it addresses many challenges that economies around the world is facing. Besides, the introduction of the New Education Policy, 2022 has revolutionized the learning and outcome perspective of students, especially in higher institution. Therefore, rural development finds its way into syllabus of Mizoram University as one of major papers in Economics (UG).
