In this research work, the main discussion is on how to enhance the quality of a power in the transmission system or sub-system. Paper reveals that to improve the power quality by taking some hardware/software device in transmission lines. So, one of the major concerns is the quality of the voltage either it is for commercial purpose or domestic purpose. Most common problem of power quality is voltage sag, swell and harmonic distortion. To overcome this problem, we use DVR or series active filter UPFC is an absolutely power transmission controller. It controls the inner parameter li impedance, especially in line, voltage, phase angle. It comes under the FACT (flexible AC transmission system) whose main aim is to enhance line throughout and regulate power flow across a specific transmission system. FACTS devices it may meet most of the voltage and reactive power management goals necessary for transmissions & networks. Mostly, in transmission lines FACTS devices are used to improve the power quality is present. UPFC is the most important among FACTS devices which is used in desired phase for series voltage infusion. In UPFC or SSSC we use two controller technique to find how active and reactive power will work. In a high voltage transmission line, UPFC has an electrical device that provides quick-acting reactive power adjustment. To make an UPFC model a single DC connection will joined through a STATCOM and SSC together to make an equivalent model. In this research, we used MATLAB/ Simulink software to calcite power quality problem in DVR and also active and reactive power through UPFC and SSSC in transmission line.
