Environmental sustainability is about acting in a way that ensures future generations have the natural resources available to live an equal, if not better, way of life as current generations. It is important to preserve resources like clean air, water and wildlife for future generations. Engineers play a critical role in making sustainability as a part of everyday life. Sustainability calls for planning for the future when designing for the present and engineers have the knowledge and leadership to provide the direction needed to improve the quality of our environment and ensure its quality for generations to come.
Top off all these there is a great need to create a platform amongst the scientific community to work for environmental sustainability to save this planet earth. Therefore on the occasion of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” and “Celebration of Centenary year of VJTI at Matunga Campus” (Est 1887, 135 years of excellence) this international conference aims to bring the engineering aspirants together under the umbrella of creating leadership for environmental sustainability. The objective of this international conference is to provide a platform for policy makers, academicians, and researchers to share their experiences and knowledge by presentation of scientific advances made in the field of sustainability for achieving safety of environment.
