Clinical training is a pre-requisite for completing B.Sc. Nursing course under Indian Nursing Council. Indian Nursing council is a statutory body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It is expected that after completing this training students would be able to receive the patients, operate all modern equipment’s and fit him/her as a skilled nursing personnel with the onward development in nursing field.
This training has been designed as need based following the curriculum of INC (Semester basis) to be conducted in hospitals. So, we believe, a good number of nurses with advanced knowledge and skills would be created that would meet the need of the country.
This log book has emphasized on improving the skill level of nurses, on increasing the standardization of quality of clinical training. Hospital placement should be ensured and monitored by the respective institute and/or college. In this way students would be familiar with the community environment and to handle the patients.
We do believe that this training will equip our nursing students to work in a broader area that will earn honor for him/her as well as for the country. We are confident that fulfillment of this cumulative practical record will enable students to be updated with recent GoI guidelines and prepared to provide safe, competent and quality nursing and midwifery care contributing towards preparation of eminent nurses. We wish all the best for all the nursing students.
