Basics of Communication Skills

On the verge of my retirement from Keltron Equipment Complex KEC) (A Production Unit of Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala) as Manager (Human Resources) in the year 2017, Dr Jayadevan G R , the then Head of College of Dairy Science & Technology, Kerala Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Trivandrum Campus contacted me and asked me whether I can be a Guest Lecturer for Communication Skills For their BTech (Dairy Technology) programme. While handing over the Syllabus of the Subject he said that I can handle the subject. I readily agreed and I started teaching the 2018, 2019 and 2020 Batches. By 2019 their Campus was shifted to the Regional Telecom Training Centre of the BSNL at Kaimanam, Trivandrum. The 2020 Batch became an online Batch due to the Covid Pandemic and I converted the entire syllabus into a Power point presentation. Further I could not continue the assignment due to technical reasons. My first Book Reflections and Musings was published by IIP Books in July 2024. While ruminating on what my next Book should be on, suddenly I thought about the materials available with me on the Topic Communication Skills. I sent an email to the Publication Coordinator of IIP Book with a few Presentations on the Topic. I got a positive reply from them, signed the Contract and began converting the Presentations I had made into Text. This Book will be useful for all students across the country who has a Topic on Communication Skills in their syllabus. I understand all Degree, Engineering, Management Students have a topic on Communication Skills in their syllabus. I am submitting this Book to the World for universal recognition and propagation.
