The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 makes a significant mark in Indian legislative history after infamous Delhi Gang Rape Case. Nearly a decade after its enactment the Act still remains a subject of significant controversy and critique. The ambitious provisions of the Act aims to ensure that every child is treated with dignity and provided with opportunities for rehabilitation frequently hit with the harsh realities of implementation. Juveniles are vulnerable than the other social groups and their victimization have reached staggering proportions around the world because of their tender age and physical vulnerability.
