Internal Contradictions in the Bible

All the religions in the world are based on the principles of righteousness. They espouse a culture that leads the way to good living; but at the same time there are certain superstitions and contradictions in all religions that are not acceptable to a reasoning mind. But superstions and controversies have been the fundamental basis for the creation of Christianity. One will be shocked when one comes to know about these.

Even seventeen-hundred years before the birth of Christianity, Mithraism practised by the Greeks and Romans was in existence. The Jews called it a pagan religion. Believers and followers of Mithraism used to worship the sun god known as Mithra or Mithreya of India and the Persia. This form of worship was transmitted from the Indians to the Parsis. The Hindu god Mithra is mentioned in the Vedas. In the Atharva Veda, the god mithran is mentioned together with sunrise. Even today Hindus worship the sun god. In the Rig Veda (8:25:58) a festival to worship the sun god, Mithrothsavam, is talked about at length.
